かんち [Kanchi/Perception]

こんちくわ. Though the following piece of information may not seem truthful, I sincerely do not prefer offering weekly accounts of my conduct in LiveJournal updates in contrast to posting them at a more frequent rate, however the past several days have scarcely yielded any opportunities for me to do so, which may partially be attributed to my recently abandoned belief that I should not write journal entries when particularly fatigued, discontent, or excited.

[+] - I composed two poems during the progression of this past week and both may be read at the links presented below.
(Extremum) ~ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/20734346/
(Suitai) ~ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/20846599/

[+] - My linguistic studies are proceeding fairly well and I am really enjoying them, although I have been focusing on Japanese to a far greater extent than French. I currently possess knowledge of 107 Japanese characters, which includes all of the Hiragana symbols, twelve Katakana, and thirty-two Kanji. I have also mused over the idea of enrolling myself in a collegial language program if I choose not to major in a different subject.

[+] - My brothers Ryan, Jeremy, and Patrick attended their grandfather's funeral this previous Tuesday and as Jeremy and Patrick were travelling home together, they decided to visit us that evening for the purposes of socialization and eating supper. My mother and sister prepared an undeniably large meal and a dessert for them and though they were rather late, the dinner was very fun. Each individual was evidently located in high spirits and the conversation was quite plesant.

[+] - I have yet been speaking with Ariana by the medium of a telephone this week and though we were not able to talk on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night, I have been suppressing a jubilant smile around my family since our last extraordinary discourse on Thursday evening. We have communicated and discussed our thoughts on several philosophical topics as well, which is certainly exhilarating.

[+] - I rotated Secret Carnival [http://inkpuddles.bravehost.com/] this Wednesday and as I had romanized the lyrics for a Nookicky song entitled "Cloudy Pop Book" that afternoon, I updated with that text file, as well.

[+] - Considering that I have reached the number of 300 songs which I have learned on my bass guitar, I am now reviewing each one included on that entire list. Thus far, I have merely played fourteen of them.

[+] - I have continued furthering details for "The P.M. Troupe" and it is actually becoming one of my favourite activities. I am particularly thrilled about the creation of Tentori Post (means "competition for school marks" in Japanese), which is the mail system in this world.

[+] - Josh and I had formerly planned to browse for recording equipment at a music store known as Wray's Music when he arrived at my house on Thursday afternoon close to 2:30 and we then accompanied his younger brother Jamie and his mother to the facility where his father is employed so that we could ride in his father's car. We generally went about this task so that Josh could practice driving, for he prefers his father's automible. He is a fantastic driver and I felt completely comfortable and secure whilst we traversed to Wray's Music, which is around twenty minutes from Dillsburg. Our search for mixers proved fruitful and though we did not purchase any items, as the mixer we wish to buy is a product of a seperate distributor, our idea of what equipment we must obtain, when we should acquire it, and how expensive each component shall be is much clearer and definite. His mother remained in a store called "Freehand Art Gallery" whilst we wandered about Wray's Music and after meeting her there, we returned to their vehicle and subsequently to Josh's residence. We commenced in a practice session shortly after, however my disposition gradually became partially unstable and I felt extremely nauseous as we finished playing our tenth finished track. I did not desire to vomit at Josh's house and considering that chilling sensations were quickly permeating through me, I telephoned my parents and my mother picked me up briefly after. I did not throw up that evening, although I believe I was dehydrated and I reposed in bed or on the living room couch for the majority of the night. In any case, Josh telephoned the next day to inform me that he had $250.00 more to spend on recording supplies than he had previously calcuated! I perceived this as undeniably wonderful, albeit peculiar.

[+] - My brother Jeremy came over on Friday afternoon near to 1:45 and as I was slumbering at that time, I only woke to open the door for him after he had rang the doorbell thrice. My sister rose whilst I was conversing with him and my brother Ryan called shortly thereafter. I spoke with him for twenty minutes or so and during our conversation, he stated that he would be sending my sister and I money to recompense for not remembering our birthdays this past June. I yet do not find this necessary in any respect, however I am wholeheartedly grateful for this kind notion, as Josh, Andrew, and I shall be in possession of much more money than we had anticipated for Andrew's arrival this August. Anyway, Jeremy expressed that he was very hungry whilst we talked and so he and I then departed for a restaurant called China One to get some food for ourselves, my sister, and my mother, although he generously paid for the full order. We also rented a movie entitled "Primer" from Blockbuster and watched it with my sister after we ate. The plot of this film was utterly intricate and complex, merging modern physical science with psychological contingencies that produced an entirely intriguing story. The interaction between the two main characters was entertaining, as well, and I appreciated the peaceful aura surrounding the film. We were all pleased with it afterward and Jeremy then left for his apartment.

[+] - My sister transported a desk from her bedroom to the living room on Friday evening and we then moved the stand that was placed there to my parent's bedroom. The cause of this labor was the mutual realization that my sister does not have a suitable amount of space in her room to store her clothing without articles of her wardrobe compiling on the floor, so we then jaunted to Pier 1 with the hope of discovering a dresser that would be in accordance with my sister's decor, which was surprisingly easy. We compared prices between two and though we shan't purchase the chosen piece of furniture until a later date, we were glad to have established what is required and explore the store itself. We walked to Panera Bread for a delightful snack afterward, however my mother and I purely ordered drinks and my sister a meal. My mother went about a few errands when we had finished and we then returned home.

[+] - Andrew telephoned me on Saturday afternoon and though I was sleeping beforehand, our hour and a half conversation was marvelous, fun, and positively intriguing. He performed his newest composition on guitar, as well, which I thought was absolutely brilliant.

[+] - I expended six hours at a local amusement park referred to as Hersheypark this Sunday with my family and it was certainly an amusing excursion, albeit a draining one. The weather conditions were exceedingly agreeable and a light breeze swirled about for the whole day, which was indeed idyll. My sister and I seperated from our parents as we neared the entrance to the park, as they longed to drink some coffee at a cafe and my sister yearned to ride rollercoasters posthaste. Though I was merely a passenger on six rollercoasters, they were incredibly stimulating and my sister and I are not terribly bothered by waiting in elongated lines, as we like to talk with each other when in them and commonly find our observations or comments diverting. In any case, three boys exhibited displays of affection for my sister whilst we were waiting in various lines and one, whom my sister was periodically sharing smiles with, courageously waited near the exit of the ride and initated my sister in conversation as we traipsed by. This boy, whom I now know as Jordan, is a seventeen year-old Japanese individual who is rather handsome and he conveyed humility, modesty, and a composed dispostion when we were frequently glancing at him and his sister in the crowded line. My sister was evidently nervous as they exchanged screen names and I simply giggled on a curb near to them whilst witnessing the scene. My sister is actually conversing with him online as I am typing this entry and they are excessively fond of each other. We also glimpsed four other Asian groups at Hersheypark and a Japanese boy in one specific line uncannily resembled the guitar player of the J-rock band Cali Gari, which I found interesting. He was wearing a green bag, too, and I was happy to be able to read several of the Kanji. I ate supper with my parents and sister at a Chinese restaurant called "Wok & Roll", as its menu is more diverse than most at Hersheypark and when in the queue to order, I heard a mother and her two children speaking Japanese behind me. One little boy was laughing and reciting "Ichiban!", which I knew to mean "number one" and I smiled when his mother ordered a number one shortly after. I must confess that I felt a significant urge to introduce myself to them in Japanese, however it didn't seem prudent in a restaurant queue. Anyway, my parents were exhausted by 10:00 and so we then returned home.

[+] - My sister and I were requested to babysit the three Curry children this (Sunday) evening and though I initally felt reluctant to watch them, I agreed to do so after pondering some indirect persuasion. The reason that I was hesitant is that we would be at the Curry's house from 5:30 until 11:00 and I was aware that I would then not be able to tangibly communicate with Ariana and my parents informed me that she did indeed call that evening at 9:00. The children's behavior was fabulous, however, and Nathaniel, Samuel, and Daniel were predominantly calm for the three and a half hours before we helped them go to bed, which was also easier than is usual. My sister and I then ate our dinner, socialized, and listened to music until Mr. and Mrs. Curry came home at 11:00. Mrs. Curry then evoked a discussion concerning the contrasting worship services at the church she and my parents attend and the division of age groups in accordance with how they worship. It was a curious topic to linger upon and our discourse was intellectually invigorating enough to sustain us until we arrived at our house.

My activites have also consisted of chores, playing Final Fantasy VII, participating in an eClass this Thursday, downloading music, viewing "Lost in Translation", forming plans to attend a Bloc Party concert in September, and spectating a plethora of storms. Incidentally, I apologize for writing such a prolonged and awkward entry and I hope that my grammar is not overwhelmingly horrid, as I have been experiencing issues with concentrating today. This is elicited from the fact that the air conditiong system in my family's house has been inefficient since this morning and we are now being plagued by humid and muggy conditions both during the day and night. It is expected to be mended tomorrow, however I am uncertain if I shall be able to rest tonight at all, for I am dreadfully uncomfortable. あばよ.

Man, I should get a book on Japanese kanji. I have sheets with all the hiragana and katakana, but nothing on kanji. Speaking of which, I should study hiragana and katakana again. *guilt*

A way of developing worlds I've found quite helpful is a thread in the National Novel Writing Month forum (http://www.nanowrimo.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=2104&forum=167). It focuses on doing one step a day, and having a fully fleshed-out world at the end of thirty days. I have yet to actually complete one, but it looks very good. :)

Wow. Found a wad of cash under his bed, maybe? One time when I bought a ring (I forget what sort of stone it had), I got a sheet that ahd a list of what the stones did. This particular one was supposed to help money-wise. I shoved it in my pocket without really looking at it, and when I pulled it out later. I found ten bucks I'd put in that pocket a while ago and forgotten about. :P

There's pretty much no one in Maine that speaks Japanese. Or that I've run into, anyway. Just my Japanese class. *sigh*

I have glanced over several Kanji dictionaries and workbooks when browsing the language section of Borders and they each appeared rather informative and helpful, so I'm certain that you shall find one that you may deem suitable. Did you study or learn any Kanji when enrolled in your Japanese classes? I habitually attempt to study the Japanese characters I know of each day, although I am nearly certain that your calligraphy is clearer and more legible than my own, as you frequently draw and my penmanship is truly wretched on most occasions.

Thank you for that URL, Kate. The ideas this person has posted are extremely intriguing and have provided me with a few for "The P.M. Troupe".

Haha, I actually believe hat Josh might have received more income from a particular source than he had formerly calculated, however your suggestion is definitely a possibility, if not a likely one. Incidentally, your tale pertaining to a pecuniary ring is very curious and undoubtedly mystical.

I seldom meet or observe any persons who speak Japanese in this area of Pennsylvania either, although tourist sites, such as Hersheypark, commonly attract foreign travellers and I also heard several individuals communicating in other Asian or European dialects. I couldn't distinguish them, however.

We mostly practiced on conversation skills rather than writing, though I learned hiragana on the side. Bwahah, my handwriting is horrible, don't worry. More legible with other languages because I make an effort, but if you tell me to write something in English, it's hard to read...

I'm totally going to do the whole list for NaNoWriMo. If I'm not dying from school overload, anyway.

It was probably the most coincidental thing that's ever happened to me. ;p

Ahh, that's it. Maine is a bit of a tourist place, but I don't usually go to any places they like to congregate.

Since my time online was short I could barely glance at your two poems, but from what I saw I enjoyed and will have to look back when I have the time :P

heh, I find that vaguely amusing about your sister meeting this boy! :) He's a brave one :P

I am also having trouble with this ghastly heat and humidity lately. bleh

Oh, I'm flattered that you perceived my writings with such delight and I sincerely appreciate your reading of them. I hope that more time shall be available to you shortly so that a hasty glimpse shall not have to suffice.

I am yet entertained by that specific event as well and oft smile when musing over the subject. Indeed, for he conveyed a multitude of courage by conquering anxiety to accomplish a feat so unnerving.

These weather conditions are undoubtedly difficult to endure and I wish that temperatures and humidity percentages shall decrease in both Blainville and Dillsburg.
